From ancient Egypt to contemporary art, special exhibitions and art education, there are 500,000 works of art here. All events are wheelchair accessible, most doors are on power assist and all restrooms (except in the upper Rotunda) are wheelchair accessible. At the Sharf Visitors Center an assistive listening system is available for gallery tours and talks, along with headsets and neckloops, and large type maps. Guides with audio and video commentary are available at all ticket desks. The “A Feeling for Form” program provides tours for visitors who are blind or have low vision and there is an ASL tour.
