There’s so much to see and do in Washington D.C. that wherever where you stay, you’ll never be far away from some of the country’s best museums, most renowned sites and iconic buildings. Head for downtown if you want to be in walking distance to the top attractions, or stay further out in Arlington to get a different perspective on the nation’s capital.

The Aloft Dulles Airport hotel is anything but dull(es). The Aloft brand is built on being fresh, fun and quirky, and this Washington outpost is no exception. The re:mix lounge is a great place to work or watch the world go by (no need to sit alone in your room here) or check out the buzz at the w xyz lounge. You can even bring your dog along to enjoy the fun – at Aloft they’re considered part of the family and are treated royally.

Mobility accessible features include roll in showers and portable tub seats.

Hearing-accessible features include a visual fire alarm, doorbell notification device, TTY and televisions with closed-captioning.

The fitness center, swimming pool and business center are all wheelchair accessible.

Sometimes, you want more room than you often get in the average hotel room. The two-room suites at the Embassy Suites Washington D.C. certainly don’t skimp on space. Each suite features HDTV in each room, a separate living room with a sofa bed, armchair and work table, as well as a wet bar, refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker. The hotel is located close to shopping and restaurants in the CityCenterDC complex and walking distance to many of Washington’s main attractions. Stay on one of the most famous streets in the world at the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC. Dine at the Bourbon Steak restaurant, run by James Beard award-wining chef Michael Mina and enjoy new American cuisine, try some new tipples at Eno Wine Bar or just kick back and relax in the steam room, whirlpool or sauna. If you are traveling en famille, the hotel offers toys, coloring books and games to keep the little ones occupied, items to childproof rooms to keep them safe and child-sized bathrobes and baby and children’s toiletries to keep them pampered and Wii and video games (upon request) to keep the older ones busy.

There are two accessible rooms, complete with roll-in shower on each of the floors in the East Wing. The West Wing rooms and suite have a bathtub.

Mobility accessible features include a lowered peephole. Bathrooms have a raised toilet seat, lowered make-up mirror, roll-in shower and grab bars for bathtub and toilet.

Hearing-accessible features include TTY/TDD phones, telephone with visual ring indicator and adjustable volume, visual fire alarm indicator flashing light for alarm/doorbell (upon request).

The Grand Hyatt Washington is situated in the rejuvenated Penn Quarter, very close to the CityCenterDC development. The hotel is located at the Metro Center train station, with easy access to the red, orange, silver and blue lines. It offers complimentary Wi-Fi, a bar and bistro, as well as a Starbucks, self-check in and check-out kiosks – among its many features. If you want to work out, hotel guests receive complimentary access to the FIT Club, located at the adjoining Washington Center.

It is within easy reach of the National Mall, Smithsonian Museums and Union Station.
